Cobhams Asuquo is a Nigerian born Singer, Songwriter, Producer and Inspirational Speaker. He was born blind but has overcome all odds to become one of Africa's most accomplished musical exports. He has worked with many nationally and internationally recognized artists and organizations. Most notably, he wrote seven songs and produced Asa's highly acclaimed first album (Asa) which burst her onto the international scene. He has also worked with Common, Angelique Kidjo and One.org.
He has arranged, directed and performed with bands at international music events such as The Harare International Festival of Arts, the AFA Sponsored French Cultural Center Concert; AFA Sponsored French Cultural Center Concert in Johannesburg, South Africa; Nigeria Week in Paris and the launch of MTV’s one hundredth channel (MTV Base Africa) at Abuja, Nigeria; the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January 2014. CNN Africa Voices featured Cobhams in a full-length interview in December 2011.
On March 12, 2017, the Award-winning producer, released his debut album titled “For You”. The 14-track album features Grammy, Stellar and Dove award-winning producer Aaron Lindsey, singer/songwriter Claire Hendershot and Nigerian Gospel Artist Nosa. For You is a deeply intimate worship experience that speaks of the love, trust, faith and grace that Cobhams Asuquo has found in the Father.
