(Accra, Ghana) - 2017 Ghanaian Artist of the Year Joe Mettle released a superlative 13-track album today. The album features Dove Award-nominated artist Jonathan Nelson on two tracks “Halleluyah Song” and “Hide Me” which is destined to become a chart bursting, fan-favorite and a regular on the lips of worship leaders across the world. With the current proliferation of Afrobeats and African influenced songs, Mettle and Nelson combine the traditional sounds of American Gospel music and African Gospel music to create a vibe that is truly authentic and quintessential.
About his involvement on the project and song, Jonathan Nelson expresses “after connecting with Joe a few years ago, he had invited me to a part of a couple of projects in Ghana but due to scheduling conflicts, I have been unable. When I got the call to be part of this recording, my schedule was clear and it was a no brainer. The most remarkable things about Joe are the anointing, his humility and authenticity. It feels like when you hear his music, you have already met him. ”
As part of this collaborative effort, a music video from the Wind of Revival live recording will be released.
Joe Mettle is set to release dates for the Wind of Revival Tour: North America, which will see him usher in the wind of revival that was experienced in Accra, Ghana during the live recording. For more information on the Wind of Revival Tour.
